UC Santa Cruz, Upper Quarry Amphitheater Restoration

Category

Americas Region

Description

City: Santa Cruz
State/Province: California
Country: United States

Aleia Rosscup, Student, UC Santa Cruz:
"I really like how the quarry amphitheater is able to show off all of the nature and forest surrounding it without intruding on it. There is actually a little concert going on there right now! I can hear them from my dorm room. No one talks about the before part when it was abandoned, that’s how lame it was. Since it reopened its had a lot of fun events like concerts or shows, and has brought a lot of people from around campus together that otherwise wouldn’t cross paths, which is pretty cool."
