I love that the space is a natural wonder right in the middle of the city. I’m not a bird watcher, but I love to watch the birds at the lake. The Trail is for everybody. It doesn’t discriminate, it doesn’t judge. It’s a great place to be, and it doesn’t matter who you are.

This Trail has been a lot of work, and its success was not at all inevitable. It was Lady Bird’s idea, of course, but there have been many, many others who have stood on her shoulders and extended her legacy. This Trail will always be a challenge, because it’s a beautiful place and it’s for everybody. But great things are always worth it, and this Trail is absolutely a great thing.
